For the last 42 days, I’ve been in pain.
It’s been my right leg, back, hip area, and everything in between. I’m not going to get into all the details, but I’ve been seeing different doctors, getting MRIs and other tests, trying to figure out where this pain is coming from.
As time went on, it just kept getting worse.
Fourteen days ago, I was in excruciating pain and literally couldn’t move. I felt like my insides were being torn apart. My husband had to call an ambulance, and I was rushed to the emergency room. A few days later, I had to go to urgent care because I was still in so much pain.
I have never been in so much pain in my f***ing life. Every damn day has been painful.
Since this all started, my husband, my parents, and my in laws have been here helping take care of me and supporting me. I have a wheelchair, a walker, and everything else I never imagined I would need.
The last few days, the pain has calmed down, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. I’m still not 100%, and we still don’t know exactly what caused all of this. Every doctor has had a different “guess,” but we’re still trying to figure it out.
I went to Neurology last week, and I’m really hoping the testing will finally give us some answers.
My husband has had to help me get dressed, cook for me, and help me with pretty much everything.
When times are tough, you really find out who truly loves you. I am so incredibly thankful for my husband, my parents, my in laws, and everyone who has been there for me. I’m grateful for them every single day.
Today is a better day.
I was actually able to stand without horrible pain. I was even able to do my makeup, and that felt like a huge accomplishment.
I don’t know when I’ll have answers or exactly what comes next. But I’m taking it one day at a time.
Today is a better day.
And I’m grateful. ❤️
