Following the Yellow Brick Road to the Sphere

We went to see The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. My mom is a huge Oz collector, so we thought it would be fun to experience it together and ended up getting tickets. It was definitely a unique experience. I probably wouldn’t go back to see another show there, but it was really cool as a one-time event.

After the show, we stopped to take a photo in front of the hot air balloon when a man seemed to appear out of nowhere and handed us one of the Oz apples. We later realized he worked there when I was looking back through my photos and finally put it together. He has no idea how much that small gesture meant to us.

There’s more to this story, but it’s personal and something I’m not going to share online. What I will say is that there was also a wonderful woman who helped us at the very beginning of the show. She did something incredibly thoughtful for my husband and me, and it brought tears to my eyes. It’s one of those moments I’ll never forget.

The compassion of people like her and the person who gave us the apple truly touched our hearts. Those small moments of thoughtfulness and genuine care made an already special day even more meaningful. I’m so thankful for the beautiful people who remind us there is still so much kindness in the world.
