I was never really into Star Wars before, but out of nowhere I decided to give it a try and watch everything in timeline order. So far, I’ve made it through:
• Episode I – The Phantom Menace
• Episode II – Attack of the Clones
• Episode III – Revenge of the Sith
• Solo: A Star Wars Story
• Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
• Episode IV – A New Hope
• Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back
• Episode VI – Return of the Jedi
• Episode VII – The Force Awakens
In between the movies, I also started watching Andor and The Mandalorian, and I’m still working through both series.
This whole experience also ended up overlapping with something pretty scary I went through. Around the time I started all of this, I began having issues with my left ear and slowly started losing hearing in it. It got to the point where everything sounded like mumbling, and I couldn’t make out words at all. I even remember sitting through part of the Star Wars movies like that, unable to properly hear what was going on. My husband was so sweet and immediately turned captions on for me without me even thinking to ask. Losing hearing in one ear was really frightening, and at times it felt overwhelming as my other ear tried to compensate for everything. I felt confused and unsettled at moments, and there were other things that came along with it that were very scary, which I won’t get into here. I was honestly afraid my hearing might not come back, but thankfully after about a month, it did.

Now that things are back to normal, I only have two movies left to finish. After that, I’ll go back to wrapping up the shows I’ve already started and the rest of the series.
I’m also really excited to see The Mandalorian and Grogu movie in theaters! 🎬✨🚀
Update: May 1, 2026 – I’m really loving the Mandalorian and Grogu mix that Boys Noize (our new NIN friend) did for the movie, freaking rad Alex!

I loved Star Wars as a kid but had to wait what felt like years to finish the original trilogy. I’d seen A New Hope on TV and ROTJ at the cinema, but had to wait for Empire to come out on vhs before watching the middle piece
I’m glad I waited and was able to binge watch them all.
