I had such a great weekend. Saturday morning, we headed to Bookhounds, yes, again. I’ve been there every weekend for the past month because I seriously love that place so much. My in laws met us there, and of course we stopped to visit sweet little Elliot the cat. On our way out, I spotted another tiny biscuit kitty outside, and it was ridiculously cute.

Free Comic Book Day Adventure Filled with Comics, Records, and Local Finds

Today is Free Comic Book Day and we made the most of it from the very start.
We began the morning at Bookhounds where we spent time browsing records and enjoying the atmosphere. From there we headed over to In Your Wildest Dreams to pick up comics from The Retro Handheld. While we were there, we also enjoyed some Jittery Geeks treats, including a Captain America concha and a selection of delicious drinks. We spent about two hours at the event soaking it all in.

About two weekends ago, there were a bunch of things happening all at once, and it turned out to be such a good time. We had reserved a spot to adopt a native plant, something they were actually giving away for free, and ended up choosing a sticky monkey flower. We already have a big California native garden, so it was a really nice addition.
