Books, Coffee, Vinyl, and Time With Family

I had such a great weekend. Saturday morning, we headed to Bookhounds, yes, again. I’ve been there every weekend for the past month because I seriously love that place so much. My in laws met us there, and of course we stopped to visit sweet little Elliot the cat. On our way out, I spotted another tiny biscuit kitty outside, and it was ridiculously cute.

We ended up leaving with two Hitchcock movies and a few CDs before heading over to check out the new Jittery Geeks location. I tried a drink called the “So Fetch,” and wow, it was absolutely delicious. My husband and I shared a concha topped with glitter, and it was probably the softest one I’ve ever had. We stayed there for over an hour just hanging out and enjoying ourselves.

After that, we stopped by Going Underground Records and spent some time browsing. We picked up records by High-Functioning Flesh and Cold Cave before parting ways with my in laws after such a fun morning together. My husband and I decided to keep the day going by checking out a vintage shop we’d never visited before. It ended up being such a perfect day spent with family and doing all the things we love.

Today, Sunday, I spent the morning at my parents’ house before coming home and tackling a bunch of yard work. Now I’m getting a chance to relax, so I figured I’d do a little blog update before jumping back into getting things done around the house. I bought some poster board, so I’m about to hang up my 28 Days Later poster that I’ve had sitting around for almost a year, haha. I’ll post a photo of it later this week.
